Budget Cusco

We star with the sites included in the City Tour, such as The Cathedral and the Koricancha. You can buy the entrance tickets directly at each site, the cost is S/.25.00 and S/.10.00 respectively, then visit each place by yourselves and marvel at what they have to offer.

To see the Historic Centre of the city, it is enough to simply wander around on foot, surrounded by a mixture of Andean and Colonial style constructions, buildings built upon Inca walls, where some ancient customs are still in practise today. Among the principal attractions are: The Plaza de Armas (main square), the area of San Blas and its church, Hatunrumiyoq street where you will find the 12 angled stone, among others.

Sacsayhuamán archeological park, also includes the archaeological monuments of Qenqo, Tambomachay and Puca-Pucara. If you have  the time and fitness you can get here on foot, otherwise  we recommend using a travel agency which can offer you return transport and a guided tour of this marvellous archaeological site.

The Sacred Valley of the Incas
As with many other site, you can use public transport to get here. Starting with Pisac where you can visit the ruins and the local and handicrafts market, to continue your route youn will need  to take another  transport that can take you directly to Ollantaytambo, or make a stop in Urubamba  to have lunch and then continue to Ollantaytambo  to visit the Inca fortress.
Otherwise, you could use a travel agency to provide you with return transport and guided tours and that way enjoy visiting these sites without worrying about the time , nor where to have lunch, nor the availability of transport.
In Ollantaytambo you can take the opportunity to stay in this beautiful Inca village and spend the night here, choosing from a wide variety of accommodation, or take the train that same night  to Machu Picchu and spend the night in Aguas Calientes. Alternatively, if you don´t choose either of these options, you can return to Cusco with your tour or by public transport.

To visit these sites you will need to buy  the  “boleto turístico” (tourist ticket) which costs S/.130.00 for adult foreigners and includes entry to tne following attractions:
