Day 01: Arrival to Lima

Arrival in Lima reception and transfer to your hotel. Free day at leisure.

 

Day 02: Lima city tour – Paracas

AM: Explore most of Lima in a half day. The circuit includes a pre-Inca complex, a private collection of pre-Columbian art, the Historic Center and the Convent of Santo Domingo, one of the best-preserved places of Viceroyal Times.
Observe a Pre-Colombian archaeological site, in the middle of the residential area.
Visit Museo Larco, an impressive pre-Colombian art private collection.
Try mousse made of “lucuma”, a Peruvian endemic fruit at the Café del Museo.
Walk the Historic Downtown of Lima (UNESCO site), walk through its most important streets to observe its
architecture, monuments, etc.
Visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, one of the best-preserved from the colonial times, and climb its tower, to have a great view of the city.

PM: Transfer to the bus station to take the bus from Lima to Paracas; after 4 hours, you will be met at the bus station in Paracas and transfer to the chosen hotel.

 

Day 03: Ballestas Islands – Overflight Nazca lines

Early morning to begin the boat trip to the Ballestas Islands. This group of islands is home to a great number of marine birds like gannets, gulls, cormorants, Humboldt penguins, etc. It is also the habitat of marine animals such as sea lions, dolphins, etc. During the tour, you can see the mysterious figure of the Paracas named Candelabro, a design drawn on the slope of a sand dune.

Afterward, around 10.30 am, we will transfer to Ica aerodrome; at according time you will fly over the Nazca lines and see the famous figures like the whale, triangles, trapezoids, the astronaut, the monkey, the spider, the hummingbird, the condor, etc. Time for lunch. Bus back to Lima and transfer to your hotel in Lima.

 

Day 04: Lima – Cusco – City tour  

Transfer to the airport to take your flight to Cusco (flight ticket not included), our representative will be waiting for you at Cusco airport to welcome you and transfer to your hotel.

14hrs-18.30hrs. Guided tour of the city of Cusco and surrounding archaeological sites, visit the Cathedral located in the Plaza Mayor.  Renaissance style predominates, with an interior decoration rich in carvings in cedar and alder. Then you will visit the Temple and Convent of Santo Domingo (Dominico) and El Koricancha (Inca temple). We will continue towards the outskirts of the city, Sacsayhuaman, it would have actually been a construction of a religious nature, but due to its location and style it was considered by the Spanish and chroniclers as a military building, continues Qenko or “labyrinth” is considered a sacred place in the ceremonies were celebrated in honor of the Sun, the Moon and the stars below, Puka Pukara would have served as a Tambo or resting place and accommodation and finally visit the Tambomachay Fortress that would have fulfilled an important religious function linked to water and regeneration from the earth. Return to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

 

Day 05: Sacred Valley Tour

On a 10-hour tour, you will be picked up at your hotel early in the morning and head out on a drive to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will visit the archaeological site around Pisac and the picturesque Pisac market. This is the shopping paradise of the valley, where bartering is still practised. Enjoy the unique atmosphere and take a break for lunch in a local restaurant in Urubamba.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Inca fortress and citadel at Ollantaytambo. The fortress was built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasion from the tribes of the jungle. Take a walk along the quaint streets of the town and get a good idea of what the strategic military, religious, and agricultural centre was like during the days of the Inca empire.
You will transfer to your chosen hotel in Sacred Valley.

 

Day 06: Cusco – Machu Picchu

Early in the morning, transfer to the station to take the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu village) where our representative will assist you to take the bus to the entrance of the citadel of Machu Picchu. Almost a century after its archaeological discovery, thanks to recent studies of archives from the XVI century, there is good evidence to suggest that the citadel of Machu Picchu was like the pyramids of the pharaohs in Egypt or the tomb of emperor Chin Shi Huan in China, a luxurious and well-kept mausoleum for Inca Pachacuteq, founder and first emperor of Tahuantinsuyo.

After the tour, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes to have lunch. Later return to Cusco by train and transfer to your hotel.

 

Day 07: Rainbow Mountain Tour

We will pick you from your hotel in Cusco at 5:30 am approximate to begin our adventure. We head southeast from Cusco passing through Cusipata (at 3,339 masl) before arriving at the hamlet of Llactoc where we can see herds of alpaca and llama and vegetation typical of this area. Here we begin our walk of approximately 2 ½ hours, walking through beautiful landscapes with snow-capped mountains in the distance, before finally reaching the rainbow mountain (Vinicunca). We will spend one hour at the top, time to descend approximately 1 ½ hour to return to the same hamlet to take our transport back to Cusipata for enjoying our typical lunch, after lunch, We continue back to the city of Cusco, where we arrive at approximately 6:00 p.m.

 

Day 08: Cusco -Lima – flight back home

Transfer from your hotel to the airport to take your flight to Lima, then fly back home.

  4. The requirements of double rooms (double or twin), triple rooms, extra beds, cots are subject to confirmation.

  2. We have reassessed the capacity of all our group services (SIC – shared), we now take up to 8 people in vehicles that have the capacity for 15, this minimizing close contact between tourists while also improving the service and offering a more personalized experience.
  3. In Machu Picchu, we are keeping our policy of private guides. Our guides are trained to seek adequate spaces when guiding the group.
  4. Our guides, support staff, and drivers have been trained to maintain an adequate distance from other groups of tourists during visits to attractions.
  5. Guides, support staff, and drivers will use masks at all times during any service provided to tourists.
  6. All our vehicles have alcohol gel on board and tourists are required to use it before getting in and out of the vehicle.
  7. All our vehicles carry an oxygen tank, in case of emergency.
  8. We request that our clients also use a mask during the excursions; help us to look after those who are looking after you.
  9. At the end of each service, vehicles and equipment will be thoroughly washed and disinfected.
  10. We have restructured our services, offering more outdoor experiences and minimizing wherever possible visits to enclosed spaces.
  11. We have agreed on strict protocols of cleaning and disinfection of equipment, surfaces and staff with all our providers of accommodation and catering, such as hotels, lodges, and restaurants, among others. Staff will use gloves and masks, anyone handling food will also wear a hat.
