The experience was challenging as we are not regular hikers but we were lucky to have Jesús as guide, who helped us to find motivation and arrive to the end, also taking beautiful pictures of us being a professional photographer. Jesús is also a passionate story teller whom made our visit to Machu Picchu unforgettable by explaining us all the history of Machu Picchu.

Arribo a la ciudad de Cusco, recepción en el aeropuerto y traslado a su hotel.
Por la tarde, tendremos una visita guiada a la ciudad del Cusco y cuatro sitios arqueológicos cercanos. Nuestro recorrido iniaciará con la visita a la Basílica Catedral del Cusco, la cuál alberga magníficas obras de artesanía y una colección de lienzos pertenecientes a la “escuela cusqueña”. Luego visitaremos el Templo del Sol (Qoricancha), el cual fue construido en época Inca para su principal divinidad, el dios Sol. Actualmente alberga impresionantes muestras de la arquitectura Inca, además del convento de Santo Domingo.
Continuaremos nuestra excursión hacia las afueras de la ciudad, para visitar cuatro sitios arqueológicos ubicados cerca de la ciudad. Empezaremos visitando el imponente Sacsayhuaman, donde podrán ver piedras de hasta 9 metros de altura y 120 toneladas encajando con increíble precisión. A sólo 1 kilómetro encontraremos el centro ceremonial Inca de Qenqo. Seguido de Puka Pukara, que se cree que pudo ser una construcción destinada a cumplir funciones de control militar y administrativo, terminaremos nuestro recorrido visitando Tambomachay, donde veremos una de las mejores muestras de la habilidad de los incas en la manipulación del agua.
Retorno a Cusco y traslado a su hotel.
Desayuno en el hotel.
A las 8.00am. aproximadamente, iniciará el recojo de los pasajeros de su hotel. Día completo de excursión al Valle Sagrado. Visita al poblado de Pisac, conocido por su mercado artesanal y sitios arqueológicos incaicos entre los que se puede apreciar un sistema de irrigación, un observatorio astronómico, un reloj solar o Intiwatana y andenería. Almuerzo buffet incluido en un restaurante local.
Por la tarde, visitán Ollantaytambo. Edificado durante la época inca como un área fortificada que incluye un templo, andenes y un sector urbano. Se pueden distinguir dos sectores, uno vinculado al culto y la religión; y el segundo conjunto dedicado a la vivienda. Fue un importante centro administrativo que probablemente cumplió también funciones militares, tal como lo muestran sus murallas y torreones. Luego de la visita al complejo arqueológico se dirigiran a la estación de Ollantaytambo para abordar el tren que los llevará a Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu pueblo), donde pernoctarán.
Desayuno en el hotel. Muy temprano en la mañana recojo desde su hotel y se dirigirán a abordar el bus que los trasladará a la ciudadela de Machu Picchu donde arribarán luego de 30 min., realizarán la visita guiada que dura alrededor de 4.30hrs., donde podremos conocer toda la magnificencia de la enigmática ciudadela y ascender a Huayna Picchu, una de las montañas que rodean a Machu Picchu, desde donde podrán tener impresionantes vistas de la ciudadela Inca.
Para retornar deberán presentarse en la estación de tren 30 minutos antes de la salida del tren. Retorno a Cusco, arribo, recepción y traslado a su hotel. Alojamiento en Cusco.
Desayuno en el hotel.
A la hora oportuna traslado al aeropuerto, vuelo a Lima y vuelo de conexión.
