The experience was challenging as we are not regular hikers but we were lucky to have Jesús as guide, who helped us to find motivation and arrive to the end, also taking beautiful pictures of us being a professional photographer. Jesús is also a passionate story teller whom made our visit to Machu Picchu unforgettable by explaining us all the history of Machu Picchu.

PM. Visita de la ciudad y Monasterio de Santa Catalina.
El Monasterio de Santa Catalina en gran parte fue restaurado para poder lograr un mejor atractivo del público, conservando su planta y características originales. Las pequeñas calles y claustros están llenas de flores coloridas y las paredes son pintadas en tintes frescos. Los callejones estrechos llevan a las diversas partes del convento que atraviesan por sitios pintorescos, sitios de estar y dormir con los muebles originales.
Alojamiento en hotel en Arequipa.
Desayuno. Salida de Arequipa vía Yura, pasando por las faldas del Chachani, Pampa de Arrieros, Reserva Nacional de Pampa Cañahuas donde se aprecia la esbelta vicuña, continuamos por Vizcachani, Pampas de Toccra donde se observa variedad de aves, luego bordearemos por el cráter de Chucura para llegar a Patapampa (4,800 msnm) y Mirador de los Andes donde se podrá observar los volcanes que rodean la ciudad de Arequipa. Descenso al pueblo de Chivay para almorzar. Acomodación en el hotel. Alojamiento en Hotel en el Valle del Colca.
Opcional: Por la tarde tiene la opción de visita los baños termales La Calera por cuenta propia.
Temprano en la mañana, saldremos hacia la Cruz del Cóndor (a 41 Km. de Chivay) lugar donde se observa uno de los parajes más espectaculares del Cañón, y casi siempre se puede apreciar a los cóndores en magistrales vuelos. Retornaremos visitando los pueblos de Pinchollo, Maca, Yanque y los Miradores de Antahuilque y Choquetico. A medio día llegaremos a Chivay para almorzar (almuerzo no incluído). Retorno a Arequipa a su hotel, aeropuerto o estación.
Si lo que más te interesa es ver sobrevolar a los cóndores, en Cusco tenemos el cañón de Chonta que por la lejanía del lugar de las ciudades suelen visitar más cóndores
