The Peruvian Government has taken the following measurements to fight against the COVID-19:
- It’s optional the use of masks in opened spaces and closed spaces with ventilation.
- It’s mandatory the use of a KN95 mask or, otherwise, a surgical mask with three folds and on top a cloth face mask, in health establishments, ground transportation service vehicles of people and closed spaces without ventilation.
- In the case of restaurants or similar in closed spaces without ventilation, masks can only be retired at the moment of food ingestion.
- It’s mandatory their use for people with respiratory symptoms, in both opened and closed spaces.
- Peruvians and foreign residents of 12 or more years, whose final destination is the national territory as passengers and regardless of their country of origin, must accredit to have applied the three (3) doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 in Peru or abroad.
- Nonresident foreigners whose final destination is the national territory as passengers, must be vaccinated according to the scheme of their country of origin. If they don’t count with the mentioned vaccine, they can present a negative molecular test with a result date no older than 48 hours before boarding in their point of origin.
- Minors under 12 years old just required to be asymptomatic to board.
- Those people who show symptoms when arriving to national territory must enter a mandatory isolation, according to regulations on the matter.
- The Peruvian sanitary authority its empowered to take diagnostic tests for the COVID-19 to the passengers that arrive to the country, establishing the complementary sanitary measures for the positive cases.
- These measures are valid according to the SUPREME DECRETE N° 118-2022-PCM (link)
Peru Agency applies more flexible booking policies.
