Uyuni salt flat tour in 2 days allows you to enjoy the Uyuni salt flat and the sunset in it; an experience from another world.
In the rainy season from November to March, the salt flat could be flooded in that case passengers will visit the train cemetery, the Colchani village where it is possible to observe the extracting salt process by hand. Visit the salt eyes, impressive for its geology, and cross the salt flat as much as possible to enjoy a beautiful landscape. The entire salt flat is completely covered with water and it becomes in a white giant mirror where the sky is reflected perfectly and everything seems to be floating in the air.

Uyuni Salt Flats Tour 2 days Itinerary
Day 1: Uyuni – Colchani
Arrival to Uyuni and transfer to the hotel or restaurant for breakfast (Breakfast is paid for by the passenger); around 09:00 am Pick up to begin the tour. We start by visiting the indigenous community of Colchani, where we can see the rustic processing of iodized salt. From here we enter the vast white desert, passing typical sights of salt extraction such as salt mounds, the “eyes” of the salt flats (small pools where water has risen to the surface), and the first salt hotel, which is now a museum, before arriving at Incahuasi Island, famous for the giant cacti that grow on its volcanic rock.
Picnic lunch on the salt flat (only during the dry season)
At the end of the afternoon, we will enjoy the sunset accompanied by a good glass of wine. Transfer to the hotel to spend the night in a salt hotel.
Day 2: Colchani –Thunupa Volcano – Uyuni (B, L)
We start our tour at the Thunupa volcano viewpoint, from here, we can see flamingos, return to the Uyuni, and transfer to the airport or bus station.

- The programs have been quoted in the cheapest room category of the hotels. For higher categories, consult your sales executive.
- The check-in and checkout schedules are set by each hotel. Usually, the rooms are available for entry between 12:00 m. and 3:00 p.m. and departure must be before 12:00 p.m. Subsequent departures may mean additional charges. it is important to follow the recommendations of the attendant who accompanies them at the time of check-in at the hotel and/or ask at the hotel the respective schedules in case it´s not published in reception.
- The requirements of double rooms (double or twin), triple rooms, extra beds, cots are subject to confirmation.
- The triple rooms in some destinations and hotels are composed of 2 double beds, which means sharing these beds.
- The tourists are obliged to conduct themselves respecting the rights of the people, the environment, the cultural and natural heritage of the nation, as well as the multi-ethnic conditions of Peruvian.
Insurance
We recommend passengers to get trip cancellation, travel repatriation and international medical insurances to cover any inconveniences that may arise during the trip. We also urge them to check with their doctor to update vaccines and review medical concerns regarding international travel.
Air Tickets
Prices of air tickets are subject to change without previous notice until their final issuance. Flight schedules are subject to change by the airline companies up until the day of the flight. Additional restrictions, limitations, penalties, and/or specific conditions may be placed by the airlines.
Luggage & Liabilities
We recommend that all of the guests arrive in Bolivia with their own travel insurance and that it covers for lost luggage.
We cannot be held responsible for:
* Baggage lost or delayed during international or domestic flights.
*Lost carry-on items, handbags, or personal articles.
*Items forgotten by guests at hotels, vehicles or venues, or during tours.
We recommend our guests not to include any valuable items in their checked baggage during land transfers.
