Arrival, reception at the airport, and transfer to your hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. We will then pick you up from your hotel and head to the Callao Islands. We will get in touch with nature and discover the flora and fauna of the Palomino Islands on a half-day tour. We will visit La Punta, Chucuito, El Camotal, San Lorenzo Island, and El Frontón. We will arrive at Cavinzas Island, a guano island where we will see a large colony of birds and the most curious rock formations. Then we will go to the Palomino Islands where we can swim alongside sea lions, more than 5,000 of them, in their natural state (30 minutes free time). Transfer to see the habitat of Humboldt penguins. The excursion will end at approximately 2:00 p.m. At the end, transfer back to your hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning, transfer to the bus station to board the bus that will take us to the city of Ica. Upon arrival, you have the option of taking a flight over the Nasca Lines from Pisco Airport (at an additional cost).
Free time for lunch. Next, we will travel to Huacachina, the starting point of the tubing adventure. We will begin the tour through the beautiful 5- to 10-meter dunes, continuing on to the 20- and 50-meter dunes, going up and down them until we reach a high point where we will have an impressive panoramic view. There we can walk in the sand, play, take photos and videos. After a few minutes we continue the tour through dunes of 80, 90 to 150 meters to practice sandboarding (skiing on sand). We will provide you with the equipment and instructions for safe practice.
At approximately 7:00 p.m. we will board the bus back to Lima. Reception at the bus station and transfer to your hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel, at the appropriate time, transfer to Lima airport where we will board the flight to the city of Cusco. Arrival in Cusco, reception at the airport, and transfer to the Sacred Valley. On the way, we will visit the town of Pisac, known for its artisan market and Inca archaeological sites, including an irrigation system, an astronomical observatory, the sundial or Intiwatana, and terraces. At the end of the visit, we will take you to your hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up from the hotel at 9:00 AM. We will head to the Sacred Valley to visit the Inca agricultural experimental center of Moray. Located 7 km west of the town of Maras at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level, this archaeological site is notable for its system of circular terraces which, during the Inca period, served as an agricultural research center for adapting plants to different ecological zones. The traditional town of Maras. Located 74 km from the city of Cusco, it is an old colonial town notable for its coats of arms, belonging to Indian nobles of the colony, which still adorn the lintels of some doors. During the colonial period, due to its proximity to the Salineras salt mines, it was an important political and administrative enclave. The Salineras salt mines. Consisting of more than 3,000 small wells dug into the steep slope of a ravine. In these wells, following ancestral methods, the salt water that flows from the spring of the Qaqawiñay mountain is stored and crystallized.
We will enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, followed by a transfer to Qhispikay Glamping in the Andean community of Misminay.
Breakfast in the community of Misminay. Then we will take part in the community’s daily routine, learning about textiles, dyeing techniques, etc., as well as agriculture, the main source of livelihood for local families. After a typical lunch, we will pick you up and take you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley to rest.
Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning, pick up from your hotel and transfer to the station to board the train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes (a town located at the foot of the mountain where Machu Picchu is located). You will be met by your local guide and taken to board the bus that will transfer you to the citadel of Machu Picchu, where you will arrive after 30 minutes. You will take a guided tour lasting around 2.5 hours, during which you will discover all the magnificence of this enigmatic citadel. At the end of the tour, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. To return, you must arrive at the train station 30 minutes before the train’s departure. Return to Cusco, reception, and transfer to your hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. You will have the day free to rest and explore the historic city center on your own.
In the morning, we will take a guided tour of the city of Cusco and four nearby archaeological sites. Our tour will begin with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral Basilica, which houses magnificent works of art and a collection of paintings belonging to the “Cusco School.” Then we will visit the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), which was built during the Inca period for their main deity, the Sun God. It currently houses impressive examples of Inca architecture, as well as the convent of Santo Domingo. We will continue our excursion to the outskirts of the city to visit four archaeological sites located near the city. We will start by visiting the imposing Sacsayhuaman, where you can see stones up to 9 meters high and weighing 120 tons fitted together with incredible precision. Just 1 kilometer away, we will find the Inca ceremonial center of Qenqo. Next, we will visit Puka Pukara, which is believed to have been a construction intended for military and administrative control functions. We will end our tour by visiting Tambomachay, where we will see one of the best examples of the Incas’ skill in water management.
Breakfast at the hotel. Then we will transfer you to the bus terminal to check in and board the bus, which will depart at 7:00 a.m. The bus will travel to the southern part of the city, allowing you to see the outskirts of Cusco. The first place we will visit is the Temple of Andahuaylillas, known worldwide as the Sistine Chapel of America. At lunchtime, we will stop in the city of Sicuani, where you will enjoy a typical buffet lunch. We will then visit the Inca temple of Raqchi, the Raya Pass at 4335 meters above sea level, and the Aymara Inca Museum of Pucara. Upon arrival in the city of Puno, our agency staff will be waiting to take you to the hotel where you will spend the night.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a full-day excursion to Lake Titicaca. We will start by visiting the Uros, hospitable locals who will welcome us on artificial islands built from totora reeds. We will then continue to Taquile Island, where the inhabitants still preserve ancestral traditions and will welcome us in their colorful traditional dress. We will not miss the opportunity to explore the island and marvel at the beautiful views of the lake. We will have a traditional lunch on the island. In the afternoon, we will return to the city and transfer to the airport in Juliaca, where we will board a flight to Lima. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to take you to your hotel to rest.
A morning to get an overview of the most important attractions in the city of Lima. The route includes a visit to a pre-Inca site in Miraflores and the Historic Center, including a visit to a colonial convent, climbing its tower, and enjoying the Changing of the Guard. On the way to the Historic Center, you will see the Huaca Pucllana Archaeological Complex (no entry). Visit to the Bodega & Quadra Museum, where you can see the Wall of Lima, built in the 17th century, and an exhibition of objects showing society and development during the viceroyalty. Visit to the Convent of Santo Domingo, proof of the importance of Catholicism during the viceroyalty. Possibility of climbing the tower for observation. Observation of the Changing of the Guard (subject to the schedule of the Government Palace). PM: We begin our excursion with a visit to the water fountains of Lima (unique in their kind). After an hour of lights, sound, and lots of water, we head to a local restaurant for a delicious buffet dinner with live entertainment. Finally, we return to your hotel.
