Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
In the afternoon, accompanied by a professional guide, we will begin a walking tour through the streets of the Imperial City.
Our first stop is the San Pedro Market, the heart of local life, where residents shop for their daily essentials.
Here, you can explore a vibrant variety of fresh vegetables, native potatoes, exotic fruits, meats, spices, grains, and traditional breads, and even sample authentic local dishes.
Next, we visit the Temple of the Sun, Qoricancha, where you can admire the exceptional stonework preserved over centuries.
The Sanctuary also features temples dedicated to the Moon, Rainbow, Stars, Lightning, and Thunder, each reflecting the rich cosmology of the Inca culture.
Afterward, we will stroll through the traditional streets of Cusco—each with its own history, myths, and legends, until we reach a narrow alley to view the famous 12-Angled Stone.
This site serves as an open-air museum, showcasing the remarkable precision and significance of Inca masonry.
Finally, we will visit an area renowned for its traditional craftsmanship, home to master artisans since Inca times.
Here, you can admire long-standing traditions of weaving, ceramics, metalwork, and other local handmade arts.
Night in Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning, you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative, who will assist you in boarding the shuttle bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
Declared a Natural and Cultural World Heritage Site, Machu Picchu is one of the most exquisite examples of Inca architecture. Built amidst a mountain cloud forest, the city appears to be carved directly into the rocky slopes.
Along with its breathtaking landscapes, the sanctuary is home to a remarkable diversity of endemic flora and fauna.
At the scheduled time, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Later, you will board the train back to Cusco, followed by a private transfer to your hotel.
Night in Cusco.
We will collect you from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 AM to begin our adventure.
Our journey takes us southeast, passing through Cusipata ($3,339$ meters / $10,968$ feet) until we reach the small village of Llacto.
Along the way, you can observe herds of alpacas and llamas amidst the region’s unique high-altitude vegetation.
From this point, we will begin a trek of approximately 2.5 hours.
You will enjoy breathtaking landscapes with majestic snow-capped mountains as your backdrop until reaching the summit of the famous Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca).
We will spend about one hour at the peak, allowing ample time to rest and capture photos of the exquisite scenery.
Following your visit to the summit, we will begin the descent, which takes approximately 1.5 hours.
Upon returning to the village, we will board our transportation back to Cusipata to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch.
Later, we will continue our journey back to the city of Cusco, with an expected arrival around 6:00 PM.
