Continue to Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire, where you will explore remarkable landmarks such as the Temple of the Sun – Qoricancha and wander through its charming historic streets. The experience culminates with a visit to Machu Picchu, the majestic Inca citadel and one of the world’s greatest wonders, surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes and a fascinating history that continues to inspire travelers from around the globe.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Lima

Arrival in Lima

Welcome and private transfer to your hotel.

Upon arrival, you will receive a brief orientation session regarding your upcoming journey.

Day 02: Traditional Lima City Tour (B)

After breakfast, explore Lima’s pre-Inca and colonial heritage.

Enjoy a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana Pyramid, then visit the Historic Center of Lima, home to over 50 colonial landmarks including Plaza Mayor, San Martín Square, and the Government Palace.

Visit the San Francisco Monastery and its eerie Catacombs, followed by a drive through the elegant neighborhoods of San Isidro, Miraflores, and Larcomar.

Day 03: Flight from Lima to Cusco (B)

Breakfast at the hotel

At the scheduled time, pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco.

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel.

Take the rest of the day to acclimatize to the altitude and explore at your own pace.

Day 04: City Tour in Cusco & 04 Archaeological Sites (B)

Explore the best of Cusco. Visit the Cathedral, Santo Domingo Convent, and the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha).

Continue to the nearby Inca ruins:

Sacsayhuaman, a majestic fortress built with massive stone blocks.

Qenqo, a ceremonial site carved in rock.

Puka Pukara, an ancient military outpost.

Tambomachay, known as the “Temple of Water.”
Return to Cusco.

Day 05: Train to Aguas Calientes & Free Afternoon (B)

Breakfast at the hotel.

At the scheduled time, transfer to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. During the approximately three-hour journey, you will enjoy spectacular Andean scenery as the train travels through the Urubamba Valley, passing impressive mountains and following the course of the Urubamba River.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel.

In the afternoon  to explore this charming town, stroll through its streets and artisan markets, or relax in the famous hot springs from which the town takes its name.

Day 06: Excursion to Machu Picchu in Private service (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Early in the morning, you will board the shuttle bus to the Machu Picchu Citadel. The guided visit will be led by a private guide (approximately 2.5 hours), allowing you to explore one of the finest examples of Inca architecture. During the tour, you will discover the agricultural and urban sectors, the Sacred Plaza, the Main Temple, the Temple of the Three Windows, and other iconic areas of this sacred sanctuary, surrounded by breathtaking tropical vegetation.

At the end of the guided tour, you will have free time to take photographs and enjoy the atmosphere of this extraordinary site before descending by bus to Aguas Calientes, where a delicious lunch will be served.

After lunch, you will board the train for your return journey to Cusco. Upon arrival, you will be met at the train station and transferred to your hotel.

Day 07: Departure from Cusco (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Cusco airport for your flight to Lima.

Connection with your international flight home.

1. Reservations and prices

  • Rates in US dollars (USD), valid until December 2026.
  • Prices per person based on a minimum of 2 travelers.
  • Rates for children apply up to 8 years old accompanied by two adults.
  • Prices do not apply on special dates such as Inti Raymi (June 22 to 27), Holy Week (March 29 to April 5), and New Year’s Eve (December 30 to January 2).

2. Hotels and rooms

  • Rates calculated for standard rooms. For higher categories, please request a quote.
  • Check-in: from 3 p.m. / Check-out: until 12 p.m.
  • Triple rooms may include two double beds to share.

3. Documentation
