Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado and Transfer to the Lodge (L, D)

Upon arrival at Puerto Maldonado Airport, you will be welcomed by our staff and begin a brief city tour before transferring to the river port. From there, embark on a scenic 30 km boat journey along the Bajo Madre de Dios River, where you may spot a variety of birds, turtles, and caimans in their natural habitat.

Upon arrival at the lodge, enjoy a refreshing tropical fruit welcome drink before checking into your private bungalow. A delicious lunch featuring local ingredients will be served.

In the afternoon, set out on a guided walk along interpretive rainforest trails leading to a small lagoon, where you will have the opportunity to observe both black and white caimans. After the excursion, return to the lodge to enjoy dinner and relax in the peaceful surroundings or unwind in the common areas.

Day 2: Apu Victor Lake and Monkey Island (B, L, D).

We begin with a guided hike  through a variety of Amazon rainforest ecosystems. Along the way, your expert guide will introduce you to remarkable plant species and towering rainforest trees, including the medicinal copaiba and the majestic cedar.

The excursion continues to Lake Apu Víctor, where an elevated observation platform offers spectacular views of the surrounding rainforest and excellent opportunities to spot macaws, toucans, and other native wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat excursion to an island on the Madre de Dios River, home to several monkey species, including the Spider Monkey and the Capuchin Monkey. As the day comes to an end, admire a breathtaking Amazon sunset before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 3: Departure and Return (B).

Take advantage of the first minutes of the day to listen to the birds directly from your room.

You will enjoy your last breakfast in the jungle.

Finally, we will begin the return journey to Puerto Maldonado.

We will take you to the airport so you can continue your journey.
