Very early in the morning (between approximately 3:30 and 4:00 a.m.), we picked up guests from their hotels to begin our exciting adventure to the Mountain of Colors, also known as Vinicunca or the “Rainbow Mountain,” one of Peru’s newest and most stunning tourist attractions.
Located more than 100 kilometers from the city of Cusco, this impressive mountain formation rises to 5,200 meters above sea level.
Its distinctive landscape, adorned with a variety of hues, is the result of the complex combination of minerals found in the area. Upon completing our hike, we’ll return to the restaurant to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch, and then begin our return to Cusco, with an estimated arrival time of 5:30 p.m.
