The Importance of International Travel Insurance: Purchasing international travel insurance is essential to protect both your health and finances against unexpected situations while traveling. Travel insurance covers emergency medical expenses that are often not included in domestic health plans, while also providing assistance with repatriation, trip cancellations, and lost luggage. More than an expense, it is an investment in peace of mind.

Key Reasons to Travel Insured:

  • Worldwide Medical Assistance: Ensures access to medical care in case of illness or accidents, as domestic health insurance is often not valid abroad.
  • Protection Against High Medical Costs: Avoid significant out-of-pocket expenses in destinations with costly healthcare systems, such as the United States and many European countries.
  • Entry Requirements Compliance: Many destinations, including countries within the Schengen Area, require travelers to carry valid medical insurance as a condition of entry.
  • Travel Disruption Protection: Provides support and compensation in cases of baggage delays, theft, flight cancellations, or other travel-related inconveniences.
  • Medical Evacuation and Repatriation: Includes emergency transportation or repatriation services when necessary.
  • 24/7 Assistance: Access to round-the-clock support in your language for medical emergencies, legal assistance, lost documents, and travel-related concerns.

Important: Immigration Registration & Tax Exemption

It is the sole responsibility of each passenger to accurately declare the purpose of their trip to immigration authorities. The immigration stamp issued upon arrival is a key requirement, as hotels will request proof of tourist status during check-in. This documentation is necessary to qualify for applicable tax exemptions and tourism-related benefits under local regulations.

Airline Tickets:

  • Airfare rates are subject to change without prior notice until ticket issuance.
  • Flight schedules may be modified by the airline at any time, including on the day of departure.
  • Airlines may impose additional restrictions, limitations, penalties, and fare conditions depending on the ticket purchased.

PERU AGENCY Is Not Responsible For:

  • Lost or delayed baggage during domestic or international flights.
  • Loss of carry-on luggage, handbags, or personal belongings.
  • Items forgotten by passengers in hotels, vehicles, attractions, or during excursions.
  • We strongly recommend that passengers avoid placing valuables in checked baggage during flights and transfers.
