Reception at Iquitos airport and transfer to our office for a briefing on the itinerary, our services, and essential jungle “dos and don’ts.”
Transfer to the Port of Iquitos to board a speed boat and begin the adventure into one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
River journey to the lodge, where you can observe the Amazonian flora and fauna along the riverbanks and the breathtaking scenery of the Peruvian jungle.
Welcome to the jungle upon arrival at the lodge, followed by check-in and settling into your rooms.
Typical Amazonian lunch served in the lodge’s dining room.
The first activity of the day will be a careful observation of the Pygmy Marmoset, known as the smallest primate in the world.
After the activity, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a traditional dinner.
Night boat excursion to spot caimans, nocturnal birds, and mammals along the riverbanks.
After breakfast, we will begin our excursion to swim in the Amazon River, with the chance to see pink and gray river dolphins nearby.
Return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, we will visit the Victoria Regia, the world’s largest aquatic plant, and search for iguanas.
Experience traditional piraña fishing in the river’s tributaries (creeks).
At the end of this activity, we will watch the sunset over Sapote Lagoon, enjoying a stunning Amazonian evening.
Return to the lodge for dinner.
Embark on a night hike to spot tarantulas and giant frogs.
Start the day with an introduction to birdwatching, listening to the jungle symphony at sunrise.
Typical Amazonian breakfast.
Boat excursion to remote lagoons and creeks to observe various species of monkeys and exotic birds.
We will visit the San Juan de Yanayacu community to learn about their daily customs and traditions.
Lunch at the lodge.
Observation of the Hoatzin (Shansho), a fascinating prehistoric-looking bird that inhabits the swamplands.
Farewell dinner in the Amazon.
Silent canoe excursion to experience the enigmatic sounds of the jungle at night.
Breakfast at the lodge.
Excursion to the lodge’s botanical garden to learn about local flora, medicinal herbs, and the lodge’s sustainable waste management systems.
Free time to choose between kayaking or canoeing through the Yanayacu cochas (lakes), or simply relaxing in hammocks and beanbags. You can also enjoy a final swim in the river as a lasting memory of the Amazon.
Farewell lunch at the lodge.

What to bring, what to take?
Plastic raincoat or poncho (waterproof), flashlights, rechargeable batteries, binoculars, good insect repellent, sunscreen, water bottle, light cotton clothing, long pants and long-sleeved shirts, socks, and cotton T-shirts. Moisture-resistant sneakers and/or rubber boots (provided at the lodge). Swimwear is essential. A windbreaker jacket (sometimes the temperature drops considerably when it rains or during boat trips).
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE JUNGLE TRIP:
• For the comfort of passengers during their trip on the Amazon River and their stay at the lodge, we suggest packing a backpack or small suitcase in advance with only the essentials for their stay.
• Suitcases and other luggage will be kept in storage for the duration of the stay at the lodge.
