Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Cusco & City Tour

Reception at Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport and transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon: we will take a guided tour of the city of Cusco and the surrounding archaeological complexes.

We will begin with the Cathedral, located in the Main Square.

Its façade and interior are predominantly Renaissance in style, featuring a richly decorated interior with cedar and alder wood carvings.

Next, we will visit the Temple and Convent of Santo Domingo and Qoricancha (the former Inca Temple of the Sun).

We will then continue to the outskirts of the city to explore:

Sacsayhuamán: Originally a construction of religious character, but due to its location and style, it was considered by the Spanish and chroniclers as a military structure.

Q’enqo: Known as a “labyrinth,” it is considered a sacred site where ceremonies were held in honor of the Sun, the Moon, and the stars.

Puka Pukara: A site that likely served as a tambo (resting and lodging place).

Tambomachay: Also known as the “Inca Bath,” it played an important religious role related to the worship of water and the regeneration of the earth.

At the end of the tour, we will return to Cusco and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: Zipline Adventure & Sacred Valley Hotel Night (B)

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel as we head north of Cusco toward the Sacred Valley to begin our adventure.

The experience starts with a short hike, ascending approximately 400 meters to reach the zipline departure point.

From there, you will glide across several cables ranging from 150 to 700 meters in length, with the longest offering an especially thrilling ride over the valley.

Upon completing the circuit, you will be transferred to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 03: Machu Picchu – Full-Day Tour of the Enigmatic Inca Citadel (B , L)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.

Early in the morning, you will be picked up and transferred to the train station to board the train toward Aguas Calientes, the charming town located at the base of the mountain.

Upon arrival, your local guide will greet you and lead a short walk to the bus station for the 30-minute ascent to the Machu Picchu citadel.

You will then embark on a comprehensive 2.5-hour guided tour, exploring the agricultural sector, the Sacred Plaza, the Main Temple, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the many hidden wonders of this enigmatic city.

Following the tour, you will take the shuttle bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch at a local restaurant.

Please ensure you are at the train station 30 minutes before your scheduled departure for the return journey to Cusco.

Upon arrival in Cusco, our team will meet you at the station for your transfer back to the hotel.

Note: If you wish to hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, we recommend an overnight stay in Aguas Calientes.

Day 04: Departure from Cusco. (B)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.

In coordination with your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your return journey.

3. Flight Tickets.

Flight tickets prices are subject to change without notice until final issuance, flight schedules are managed by the airlines and are subject to change until the day of departure.

Airlines may also impose specific restrictions, limitations, penalties, and/or additional conditions.

4. Luggage & Liability

We recommend that all guests arrive in Peru with comprehensive travel insurance that covers lost or delayed luggage. PERU AGENCY shall not be held responsible for:

  • Luggage lost or delayed during international or domestic flights.
  • Loss of carry-on items, handbags, or personal effects.
  • Items left behind by guests in hotels, vehicles, venues, or during tours.
