Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Baltra – Highlands – Twin Craters (5h)

Airport greeting at Baltra.

Transfer via “Lobito” bus to the Itabaca Canal and ferry crossing to Santa Cruz Island.

We will continue to Puerto Ayora depending on your arrival time.

15:00: Visit a local ranch to observe Giant Tortoises in their natural habitat.

We will explore the Lava Tunnels in the Highlands and finally visit the Gemelos Craters, a unique natural formation.

Return to the hotel.

Night in Puerto Ayora.

Day 2: Santa Cruz Island – Tortuga Bay Beach (3h)

07:30: Hike along the ecological trail to Tortuga Bay (40 min).

We will enjoy the white sand beaches and the mangroves.

There will be time for snorkeling at Playa Mansa to see fish, iguanas, and sea lions.

The return to Puerto Ayora will be by speedboat.

Bay Tour (3h) 13:45: Short boat ride through the bay.

We will visit the Shark Channel and the Love Channel.

We will also explore Dog Beach, the Salt Mines, and Las Grietas.

We will finish the tour at Punta Estrada Beach.

Return to the hotel.

Night in Puerto Ayora.

Day 3: Isabela Island

06:30: Departure from the pier and navigation to Isabela Island by speedboat.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

We will walk toward The Wetlands to visit the Flamingo Lagoon.

If the season allows, we will observe various migratory bird species.

Free afternoon.

We suggest visiting the Interpretation Center.

Night in Puerto Villamil.

Day 4: Isabela Island – Tintoreras (3h) Navigable tour by Small Boat

Walk to the pier to board the boat for a Bay Tour.

We will visit the “Tintoreras” islet and channel.

Here, we can observe penguins, pelicans, white-tip reef sharks, and sea turtles.

You might see sea lions playing underwater as we navigate.

Free afternoon for snorkeling at Concha Perla or visiting the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center on your own.

Return to the hotel.

Night in Puerto Villamil.

Day 5: Isabela – Santa Cruz – San Cristóbal (2 Ferries)

05:30: Departure to the pier.

The speedboat to Santa Cruz leaves at 06:00 AM (approx. 2-hour navigation).

You will have free time in Puerto Ayora.

You can enjoy Playa de los Alemanes or visit the Charles Darwin Research Station.

15:00: Board the ferry to San Cristóbal Island from the same pier.

17:00: Greeting at the San Cristóbal pier and transfer to your hotel.

Visit Playa de Oro or Playa Mann just steps away to enjoy a sunset with sea lions.

In the evening, explore the boardwalk’s bars, restaurants, and shops.

Night in Puerto Baquerizo.

Day 6: San Cristóbal – El Junco & Puerto Chino (4h)

08:00: Departure to El Junco, a freshwater lagoon.

Observe frigatebirds and other sea birds.

We continue to the Galapaguera to learn about the giant tortoise breeding and conservation program.

We finish the morning at Puerto Chino, a white sand beach perfect for relaxing.

Culture & Nature (3h): 14:00: Visit the National Park Interpretation Center.

Hike to Cerro Tijeretas to see blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds.

Snorkel at La Lobería among sea lions.

Return via Playa Carola to admire the sunset.

Night in Puerto Baquerizo.

Day 7: San Cristóbal Island – Return

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Alternatively, you may take the return ferry to Puerto Ayora (07:00 or 15:00).

  • Internal flights from Quito or Guayaquil to Galapagos (Baltra): $520 net for adults / $360 for children.
  • Galapagos National Park Entry Fee (paid on-site in cash upon arrival): $120 for South Americans or $220 for the rest of the world.
  • Isabela Island Entry Fee: $10 (paid on-site in cash).
  • Internal flight supplement via small aircraft (Isabela Island – San Cristóbal Island): $140 net per person.
  • Meals, visits, or attraction tickets NOT mentioned in the itinerary description.

No Includes

  • Domestic air ticket from Quito or Guayaquil to Galapagos Baltra $520 adults $360 children.
  • Entrance fee to the Islands is paid in cash upon arrival $120 or $220.

We recommend that all of the guests arrive in Peru with their own travel insurance and that it covers for lost luggage.
