Cali – 4 Days
Explore the essence of the world capital of salsa with an experience that combines culture and movement. This tour is designed for those who want to feel the rhythm of the city, not just see it.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Cali.
Reception and transfer from the airport to your chosen hotel.
- Night in Cali.
Day 02: City Tour & Salsa Class – (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
We begin the excursion with a visit to the Grupo Niche Monument, the perfect prelude to a walking tour along the Bulevar del Río, where the classic Cali breeze accompanies our view of the iconic La Ermita Church and the historic Ortiz Bridge. This journey through time continues at La Merced Church, the foundational birthplace of the city, before heading up into the hills of the colonial neighborhood of San Antonio.
After visiting the riverside guardian, El Gato del Río (The River Cat), and its colorful “Novias” (companion cat sculptures), we will stop at an exclusive handicraft boutique to enjoy a traditional local snack and pick out unique souvenirs. Finally, we move from theory to practice with a Cali-style salsa class: a one-hour total immersion to truly understand why this rhythm is the soul of our culture.
- Night in Cali.
Day 03: Full-Day Haciendas Excursion – (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel.
To start our day, passengers have the option to choose between visiting either Providencia Ecological Park or Hacienda El Paraíso before heading to Buga:
Option A: Providencia Ecological Park (featuring two main attractions):
- Hacienda Piedechinche: An architectural gem that captures the essence of the traditional Valle del Cauca. Its walls invite you on a journey through time to relive the daily life of bygone eras, discovering the treasures, customs, and furnishings that defined the splendor of the colonial period.
- Sugarcane Museum (Museo de la Caña de Azúcar): A journey through exhibits showcasing traditional mills (trapiches) from all over Colombia, revealing the technological evolution and profound agricultural value of these machines in our history. The entire route unfolds in a privileged natural environment where birdsong, centennial trees, and the whisper of streams create an atmosphere of absolute serenity.
Option B: Hacienda El Paraíso:
- A treasure of 19th-century architecture and lush gardens that seem frozen in time. Built in the 1800s, this colonial jewel is a symbol of Valle del Cauca’s heritage and the famous setting of María, the masterpiece by Jorge Isaacs and a cornerstone of Latin American Romantic literature.
After immersing ourselves in history, we will enjoy an authentic traditional lunch before continuing to the “Ciudad Señora” (Noble City) of Buga. There, we will visit the majestic Basilica of the Lord of Miracles (Señor de los Milagros) and enjoy some free time to purchase souvenirs or religious items before returning to the hotel.

The Importance of International Travel Insurance
Securing international travel insurance is essential to protect your health and finances against unforeseen events. This service covers emergency medical expenses that are typically excluded from your local insurance coverage, while also managing medical repatriations, trip cancellations, and lost luggage. More than an expense, it is an investment in your peace of mind.
Key Reasons to Travel Insured:
- Global Medical Assistance: Guarantees care in the event of accidents or illness, as domestic coverage is rarely valid abroad.
- High-Cost Protection: Avoid exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses in destinations with costly private healthcare (such as the US or Europe).
- Compliance with Entry Requirements: Many destinations, including Schengen Area countries, mandate compulsory medical insurance for entry.
- Logistics and Luggage Support: Receive compensation and assistance for theft, delayed baggage, or flight cancellations.
- Repatriation and Transfers: Includes medical evacuation or repatriation of remains to the country of origin in severe situations.
- 24/7 Support: Continuous assistance in your language for legal emergencies, lost documents, or medical inquiries.
Important: Immigration Registration and Tax Exemption: It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to correctly declare the purpose of their travel to immigration authorities. The type of stamp received in the passport is critical, as hotels will require this stamp at check-in to verify tourist status (an essential requirement to qualify for tax benefits or local tax exemptions).

Airfares are subject to change without prior notice until final ticket issuance. Flight schedules are subject to change by airlines up until the day of travel. Airlines may impose additional specific restrictions, limitations, penalties, and/or conditions.
