In the morning, we will visit the Moon Valley, an impressive geological formation located near the city, with a landscape that resembles the lunar surface. Upon arrival, we will take a walk of approximately 15 to 20 minutes. After the visit, we will board our transport and head to the cable car station, where we will enjoy spectacular views of the city, built between mountains.
Next, we will visit Plaza Murillo, surrounded by the main political buildings of the country, including the Government Palace. The tour will continue to the Witches’ Market, famous for its shops selling amulets and esoteric objects linked to Andean worldview and culture.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Moon Valley, located to the south of La Paz. This unique and fascinating landscape is characterized by unusual rock formations, surrounded by breathtaking views of the mountains that border the city. In this singular environment, we can observe thousands of rocks and structures resembling craters, formed over millions of years by erosion and climate changes. Intense rainfall and temperature fluctuations have shaped the valley’s clayey soil, creating these astonishing formations that resemble the lunar surface.
After this fascinating experience, we will return to the hotel.

  • Night in La Paz.

Day 03: Full Day Mystic Tiwanaku (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Early in the morning, we will depart for the Spiritual and Political Center of Tiwanaku, where we will witness the imposing remains of one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Our first stop will be the Lithic Museum, home to the famous Bennett Monolith. Afterward, we will head to the archaeological site to discover monuments that showcase the vast knowledge and advanced technology of the Tiwanaku people.

Despite the passage of time, we will admire the fascinating details of the Akapana Pyramid, the Sun Gate, and the Ponce Monolith. Their surfaces are adorned with intricate iconographic carvings that continue to challenge our understanding, reflecting remarkably advanced engineering for their time and an ancestral language that is still being deciphered.

One of the most impressive sites is the Semi-Subterranean Temple, whose walls are decorated with stone heads featuring both human and animal traits—an enigma that still sparks wonder in archaeologists and visitors alike. After this fascinating exploration, a delicious lunch will allow us to recharge and rest.

In the afternoon, we will continue this journey through time by visiting Puma Punku, a spectacular archaeological complex made of massive stone blocks reaching up to 7 meters in height and weighing over 100 tons. The most astonishing aspect is the precision with which they were carved and aligned, with exact measurements that still baffle experts today.

Finally, we return to La Paz and transfer to your hotel.
